First made to be part of my White Lines documentary, this artwork was once white and had a couple of figures skiing on it before I painted it green to pursue a different idea. The idea was to make an artwork similar to ‘Avid Skier’ - my most viewed process video. But, in the wake of this collection, ‘Forbidden Grass,’ I wanted to put a twist on it. The artwork looked too solid green for my liking and as such, I painted two opposing strokes to represent a bunker and the putting green. I meticulously painted 27 golfers of all sorts scattered across the artwork to reference ‘Avid Skier’ and funnily enough, the process video of this artwork is my second most viewed reel. I love it when unexpected moments like that happen. This artwork was a failure many times over and yet, as a result of my stubborn pursuit to turn that into a success, it happened to a tee. ‘Gone Clubbing’ Acrylic polymers on canvas 100 x 100cm This artwork is not available to purchase.
