Make it your idea. 2. Generally speaking, dont offer rides to people of the opposite gender unless it’s an elderly person. 3. Trust your gut. Always. Youre not a bad person if you don’t do it. 4. If you’re about to drop someone off and they say: “Can I get $5?” If you have it in your pocket, great; but don’t get your wallet or your purse out, just say you don’t have it. 5. Dont be offended if they refuse your offer. 6. Dont ask personal questions. I once helped a lady out by paying for an Uber for her. Which was a way of helping without doing it myself. It was a time issue on my part. I didn’t have the time.

As a woman I never pick up any strangers. I am an ICU nurse so if I see an accident happen I will stop and help and call 911 but I’m not letting anyone in my car.

I helped a young man, he wanted to not be here anymore. He emptied his pockets into my trunk. Took him to hospital. Found his sister and he passed a year later 😔
