So important to look closer at your lab/blood work!

These stats are so sad, thank you for sharing! As a laboratory scientist with experience in validating normal ranges used for testing patient bloodwork, I can tell you that these “normal” values are determined based on a healthy group of individuals. People with known disease are deliberately excluded. Especially if the the value being validated is affected by a said disease, for example a lab will never use someone with diabetes to determine what a healthy blood sugar level should be. So while lab results cannot elucidate every ailment a person can have, you can trust your lab results. It’s important to understand what individual results actually mean, even if they are within normal range.

So sharp and spot on. Most people also don’t realize that these reference ranges haven’t been significantly updated since the 1970s!

I was diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome after my 2nd pregnancy loss. Lost my 3rd baby in May & had preeclampsia. My family and I truly believe I don’t have this blood disorder and that it’s
