Burton's old movies felt like he had creative control. Modern ones all feel like they were made by a studio committee trying to emulate Burton. Even though I would assume he has more control now.

I agree and disagree with u. Yes, there were too many characters and made it distracting. But visually it was beautiful and just a fun outrageous movie. I was smiling the entire time

My only complaint was it needed to be streamlined! Should have cut most of the b-plots cause with the amount there was none ended in a satisfactory way

It seemed a bit slow building and then rushed to end. Some stories were pointless & hyped too much for no real end. Some was nice throwback but felt forced.

Just saw it and agree! Lydia was just Joyce from Stranger Things and I hate that. And I also think Jenna Ortega’s story was the interesting one, and Beetlejuice squaring up against someone really evil like that would have been interesting.

I enjoyed it, wasn't expecting much from it, but it's a decent sequel that is fun and is nice for Halloween vibes. However, it definitely did have too many subplots.
