Mine glitches like that when I have no storage, I got an external hard drive to hold all my video/photo storage and it got rid of that problem

My bf is photographer/videographer and his videos glitch like that in Final Cut just because the clips haven’t fully processed but you’re right it does go away once it fully processes

My last iMac kept glitching like that when I would edit and I tried everything and deleted all my storage off that computer and nothing worked. Had to buy a newer model with more processing power

EDITING TIP(?) I used CapCut but could maybe apply to Final Cut : Turning on proxy and changing preview video to ‘performance quality’ instead of ‘video quality’ can help with lagging!
