Taylor delivered her first speech in the House of Commons on 3 September. She recalled portesting against Section 28 in the 1980s and vowed to “tackle the oversimplistic and often hatefuk discourse that we hear about trans people”. The MP for North Warwickshire and Bedworth is part of the LGBTQ+ community herself.
