I was shocked at how high the income is. Now for the 21st Century Scholars is now, 230k for a family of 4. I am now mad I did not sign up. But I thought it was for low Income….

I’m here in Arizona where the voucher system has ruined our state. They are finding people abusing the voucher program just like the PPP loans

Teachers at catholic schools used to get free tuition from the diocese but they took it away because everyone qualifies for a voucher.

I work in Indiana public schools and write all our schools grants… I a competing against private schools for that desperately needed funding….thank you for speaking about this!

Oklahoma here. No private schools in our entire county by our reps still voted for vouchers. Those fams that can afford to drive their kids to the next county over could use the help.

They also used to have a stipulation that you either had to attend public school for one year or be getting a need based scholarship from a private school before you could qualify.

My friend's kids get Ubered to 1 school, a bus to the high school 6 blocks away, and bussed the other 2 to the township over... it's CRAZY!!!!

checking in: 2026-27 is projected to be a $600M loss for public schools. meanwhile, private school tuitions doubled, so families who aren't wealthy still can't afford it. oh, and kids are still hungry.
