got diagnosed as an adult and i told my mom i had inattentive type. she said if shed have known when i was a kid that was thing shed have gotten my tested. i was CONSTANTLY loosing things, forgetting to bring things, messy, disorganized and it caused a lot of stress

I still think hyperactive presentation is also underdiagnosed in women, not just inattentive. Often the hyperactivity comes out as talking a lot, like it did for me, not physical action.

my mom had me tested when I was a kid, they missed it, I went and got tested over the summer, I got diagnosed, at 21... 11 years late

For me it’s trying medication and “is it working?” BC I’m so unaware of my specific traits that are “me,” I can’t identify what changes. So identity crisis if ADHD traits aren’t WHO I AM…?
