I disagree to this many adult children that don’t become alcoholics, and or they are non drinkers because of it 🤷🏻‍♀️it can and often is used as an excuse/ defense from taking responsibility.

Empirical knowledge - It IS an individual 🧬available factor and challenge that must be lived through and processed with education and internalization. The pattern can then be broken as One. ✍️👩🏼‍🏫

My mom is an alcoholic, so is my dad (I didn't grow up with him) but I ended up with someone who is not. He has struggled with other addictions in his past but he's been clean for years now.

What if they are predisposed because of pheromones? Maybe they are unconsciously attracted to alcoholics because it resembles their father?

It’s simple. You need to repeat what’s familiar to you even if it’s bad for you.
