What do I say when everything around me feels like it's falling apart? I say... “It is well with my soul." To the person going through trials, I want to remind you that no matter how fierce the storm around you, it is well with your soul. This isn’t based on how you feel or how your circumstances look. It's rooted in the unshakeable truth that God is for you, that Jesus has secured your peace, and that your hope is eternal. When life feels overwhelming, and you wonder how you will make it through, remember, the waves may rise, but they will not drown you. The fire may burn, but it will not consume you. Lift your eyes to the One who walks with you through the valleys, who has never left your side, and who is bringing you through stronger, refined, and more steadfast in your faith. Sometimes life brings us seasons that feel heavy, overwhelming, and impossible to bear. Believe me I've been through many. But in the midst of it all, we can still say, “It is well with my soul.” Why? Because…👇🏻 1. God's Sovereignty Never Changes: Even when life feels chaotic, God remains sovereign over all things. He knows the end from the beginning, and nothing surprises Him. In His control, He works everything for our ultimate good (Romans 8:28). We can rest in His plans, even in trials, knowing He is in control. 2. Jesus is Our Anchor: When life’s storms come, Jesus anchors us in hope. He promised that in this world we would face trouble, but to take heart because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). Our soul is safe because Jesus has already won the ultimate victory. 3. God’s Presence in Every Valley: Whether we walk through the darkest valley or stand on the highest mountain, God is always with us (Psalm 23:4). His presence provides comfort and strength when we feel weak and burdened, reminding us we’re never alone. 5. Trials Strengthen Our Faith: Our trials aren’t without purpose. God refines and strengthens our faith through the difficulties we face (James 1:2-4). We grow deeper in our trust in Him, learning to rely on His strength and not our own. This is why we can still say, "It is well with my soul." 5. Our Hope is Eternal: The troubles of this world are temporary, but our hope in Christ is eternal. We look forward to the day when all suffering will end, and we will be with Him in glory (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). This eternal perspective allows us to endure hardship with peace, knowing that ultimate victory is ours in Christ. Let this song remind you of the peace that surpasses all understanding, the peace that only God gives, no matter the circumstance.
