@purelychickens: Mites tend to be more active fall and spring! If you look closely you can see them on my hand from a video I took last year. Mites are nothing to be afraid of but it’s important to get them taken care of. 🪳Check your chickens weekly for signs of mites. Poopy butts, excessive preening, less egg laying, refusing to sleep in the coop are all common signs. 🪳 If you suspect mites, go in at night with a flashlight and look on the skin around their vents. 🪳I treat the chickens and coop with elector psp.
