You could use just 2 cups of corn (0.99 p) to make delicious polenta bites! We grinded more than 2 cups so it saves energy by making a bigger batch in one go. You could even make it sweet by adding any sweetener and replacing a few ingredients. My grandpa used to make a similar dish and I’m so happy to carry on the tradition and share it with you! POLENTA FLOUR 🌽✨ •2x cups dry corn - 🥣Blend and strain multiple times until you have a coarse flour . - Some bits will look more like powder but we like to keep it mix in between coarse and flour it give a nice bite to it when cooked. POLENTA BITES 🌽🌱 •4 x tbsp olive oil •1 x tbsp minced garlic •1/2 x onion very finely chopped •1/2 x cup sage finely chopped •1 x tsp salt •1 x tsp black pepper •2 x cups milk •4 x cups veg broth •2 x cups cornmeal •1/2 x cup Parmesan grated - 🥣In a pan add the olive oil and stir fry the onion , garlic ,sage , salt and pepper when nice and golden add the milk and water and turn to medium heat until nice and hot. - Add slowly the cornmeal while stirring with a whisk so it’s easier to not have lumps . - Bring to a boil and lower the heat . - Add the Parmesan. - Remember to stir so the polenta will cook evenly but do not stir the bottom as it’ll be quite thick and will prevent the polenta from burning . - Cook it for about 45 min. - This recipe requires a quite hard polenta so almost no moisture to be able to then cut it in cubes . - When ready transfer the polenta to a container and make a layer roughly 3cm thick. - Let it cool completely then cut it in cubes and grill it on both sides. - Eat it while still hot. - You can serve it with Parmesan and parsley or some stew, or a mushroom sauce and sausages . - Keep in the fridge up to 3-4 days #fyp #foryoupage #contentcreator #corn #zerowastefood #zerowaste #LearnOnTikTok #plantbased #veganuary #zerowastetiktok #tiktokfood #asmr
