Newport Beach is nicer than Huntington Beach but still has parking and good restaurants within walking distance. Thousand Steps is my favorite overall for a beach day though because it's so beautiful!

persoanlly i love long beach cause the bike path is super long perfect for running. and you get to see giant ships off the coast

Long Beach is beautfil and great for going down the bike path. I wouldn't recommend going in the water tho

Native Angeleno, and hadn’t heard of Dockwiler. I always recommend Paradise Cove. Also just south of Venice, there are very quiet public beaches in Marina Del Rey. .
