In my town in Michigan we'd find cows in other people's yards. Dogs are normal and there's always someone who knows who's dog is roaming.

I grew up in rural Arizona there wasn't even a store for 50 miles. Everybody's dog wandered. It was a different time. We had other people's cows and horses wander into our yard too.

My bottom line is, I thought it was three days then they were put up for adoption, not even mentioning the guy called and talked to them and told them he was coming the next day since they were closed

I agree with you 1000%. Most shelters check their phone messages even when they are closed. Inconvenience of the shelter not to check their messages when they have a dog show up clearly showing

100% Agree!!!! I live out in the boondocks in northern Indiana. I had a husky that was an escape artist. Depending on who found her they brought her home or shelter, the shelter called within 30 min

Leash laws are determined by city, county, state and aren't the same across the board. Normally in the country out of city limits don't have a leash law anyway so doubtful a leash law applies.

we don't have a leash law. My dog has a pen but sometimes I let him run because he needs to explore. Do you sit in your house all the time.? let the dogs live!

All their neighbors loved him and they would routinely text them saying they would send him home soon because he was hanging with him he was ADORED by everyone it was a very RURAL area 🙄
