Both your VO2max and resting heart rate are strong indicators of your cardiovascular health 🫀 That’s why 80% of the time I spend doing cardio, it’s zone 2 with my heart rate between 105-133 beats per minute. I do 150 minutes weekly of zone 2 cardio spread across 3-4 sessions. I’m running Berlin in 3 weeks. 80% of my runs are in Zone 2. All my peloton rides are in Zone 2. Vo2 max of 47. I’m 49 years old. I do intervals and tempo runs. You need a mix to improve!
