@sagephillipshome: I’ve been getting so many questions about my coffee table lately, so I’m excited to share one of my all-time favorite DIYs! I saved myself over $1800 by creating this coffee table myself! 💰💰 (PS to all the men who will say wood glue won’t last… this table is almost 3 years old and still standing strong 💪🏽😉) Want to save money and make one too? Here’s how you can do it 👇🏼 Here’s what you’ll need— (x3) 2” x 10” x 8’ cedar or pine lumber Cut into: •(x3) 47” planks for the top •(x8) 15” pieces for the legs Steps— •Wood glue the (x3) 47” planks together and secure with 24” galvanized straps to form the table’s top. •Create 4 pairs of legs by wood gluing (x2) 15” pieces together. •Attach the legs to the table using wood glue and secure with galvanized straps. •Distress the wood however you like! •Sand starting with 60 grit, followed by 100 grit, and finishing with 120 grit. •Apply the first coat of stain using a brush. I used Behr’s White Wash Pickling. •For the second coat, use a rag to apply Behr’s Early American stain. The rag method helps remove excess stain, leaving a beautiful light, creamy color. •Finish with 4+ coats of Behr’s Polyurethane in matte for durability.
