If it’s a luxury service, it should feel like a luxury. I’ve switched to press-ons. I can change them out more often & there are some really good quality ones that don’t cost insane amounts

My mom was a nail tech in a fancy spa in the 90s. Everything was done by hand. No drills, nothing electric, all hand done to preserve the integrity of your natural nails as much as possible.

Meanwhile in Europe they pay a small fraction what we do for hair and nails because it’s considered basic upkeep 😂 Definitely not a luxury!

Stopped getting my nails done because of how incredibly unpleasant the entire experience had become despite all the costs rising. Felt more like a punishment service rather than a luxury service.

agreed. I went over a month month ago and 4 other workers were standing behind my lady discussing what to charge me for the whole time I was there. they decided over $100 was best for a full set

I have a nail salon by me that soaks your nails off and gives you a neck/back massage while they do and it’s under $50 and now I can never move ever
