I always keep in a separate coop for about 3 days, but close enough that they can see each other. Then I put the new one in the coop overnight. It’s less stressful for them, and the separation period

Yes you need a bigger rooster and that it will take time he will learn that he is the boss. I have a few roosters and my biggest rooster is the boss of even the other males

You need a rooster the same breed sadly, they will continue to pick on him and he’ll be alone

He’s most likely not going to get any bigger, he will pull their feathers out trying to hold on because he’s smaller ❤️

i mean this genuinely, but aren't you supposed to introduce any new member to a flock during the night? chickens aren't too bright, they'll assume he was always there. i think it's too late for this advice but good to know for next time!

Idk couldn’t you have like put him in a cage or something so they could get used to him/his scent for a few days like they do with cats?

Precious Lopez :
My silkie rooster mates all my hens just fine. He does prefer the smaller leg horns which he tends to over mate. However, try keeping him in cage in the coop for a few weeks to integrate. Less fights

It’s best to put new chickens in with your flock at night when they’re sleeping! Worked everytime for me but I see this was a couple weeks old so I hope it worked 🙏🙏🙏🙏
