Anyone who has ever hired a plumber, HVAC, welder, or electrician, etc. knows that the trades are in high demand & make very good money. Non-degree jobs are where it's at now!

It all depends on your skill sets…you will never be a Sr Dir/VP making $500+k a year without a degree…but you can certainly make $500k owning a plumbing business…

husband and I don't have degrees but have decent jobs to pay the bills. We homeschool our kiddos and tell them college isn't necessary, depends on what they want. I bought your books for our oldest!

I can confirm my husband graduated medical school in 2002 and we are still paying student loans and we have said multiple times if you would’ve invested into a trade and we are now just breaking even

I got my degree to be a teacher in 1988. The ROI at that time still sucked for teachers but it was and still is the only way to be a teacher. But now?? I would NEVER recommend anyone be a teacher.

I do not believe in college in anyway. I do believe in trade schools and targeted education programs. As a truck driver i easily can make $100k/yr with no formal education.

I feel like people are missing the part where there still is an investment in your child. it's just instead of a 100,000 student loan you spend 20k on private tutors or licensure courses or whatever

Ended up taking 3 extra classes I didn’t need bc the counselor didn’t tell me when I signed up for them that they wouldn’t apply to my degrees - had to drop out bc I ran out of money & time
