I’m pretty sure they give you a price based on your habits, so if the driver is like to accept cheaper rides, they’ll get cheaper rides etc

in the industry we call it auto leveling or A/B testing. if rides are 4, offer to a few for 3. if they accept, now rides are 3, and offer a few 2.50....

Could they have the rider request a ride and that A-B info shared to drivers in the area who then submit a bid to the rider of $xyz as the fare. Rider picks which driver/fare they want and accepts bid
