no point cleaning it, it won't have got rid of all the blockage. same problem will be back within a year.

Would it be a similar issue on a Main boiler? My boiler is 5 years old and water goes hot, cold and then remains warm, does not get as hot as it should.

partially blocked heat exchanger can give similar issue but mainly hot water not being hot enough even on max hot setting.
