@sugarspunrun: When people come to me and tell me their cakes or other baked goods are coming out dry, dense, or crumbly, the first thing I ask them is how are you measuring your flour? Something I wish more people knew is you should never scoop flour directly into a measuring cup. This packs in the flour, resulting in you accidentally using much more than the recipe ever intended. Instead, use the fluff, spoon, and level method where you fluff the flour, spoon it into the measuring cup and level it off. Even better, USE A KITCHEN SCALE (it’s a game changer, people!) but if you don’t have one, this is the quickest way to improve your baking game. ##baking##cake##cakedecorating##cookingtiktok##cookingtips

Alia :
This is why I use the gram method with a scale, once you learn that method you’ll never go back. Plus my Alexa converts everything for me
