@surryplace: This hood is such a beautiful simplistic but elegant addition to our kitchen! Link for the material list in the comments! (You can copy & paste it) Tips for plaster application: * The plaster I linked is an authentic venetian plaster. That means it’s made from stone, so it hardens to stone. No paint or sealer required (although some prefer to seal it with a wax) and it cleans with a sponge. Not all “plaster” products are made the same quality. * Apply thin layers of plaster to avoid cracking. * Let the plaster fully dry before the next coat. * Spread the plaster with the trowel at a 45 degree angle. * I choose a rough finish, so I purposely created textured lines by spreading the plaster in a cross hatch pattern. * For a smooth finish, wait at least 30 min for the plaster to dry, then use damp sponge to smooth the surface. Make sure all excess water is squeeze from the sponge. . . . #diyhomeimprovement #homeimprovementprojects #homeimprovementideas #homeimprovements #homeimprovementtips #homeimprovementproject #diykitchen #plasterhood #kitchenhood #kitchendesign #modernfarmhousekitchen #greenkitchen #marblebacksplash #slabbacksplash #kitchendetails #kitchendecor #kitchenremodel #fixerupper #fixerupperinspired #fixerupperstyle #homerenovation #houserenovation #fullhouserenovation #venetianplaster #venetianplastering #diyplastering #plasterfireplace #plasterwalls #limeplaster
