@clutzychick: 16 years ago I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Here are a few helpful tips that have helped throughout my journey: 🫂 Seek out a diabetes community! I never thought it would help to have someone relate all the good and not so good things that happen when managing my T1D- and let me tell you, it really does! 💪 Don’t be too hard on yourself when dealing with high/low glucose levels. I have done that too many times and it takes away from appreciating all the hard work you put into managing your T1D on the daily. 🧃 Create an amazing low glucose cupboard.. seriously. 🤷♀️ Don’t care what people think when testing your glucose, or having your devices visible in public – wear them loud and proud! 🧡 Find devices that work best for YOU! I only started on Omnipod DASH a couple years ago, and it was the first time I really researched what devices would work best for me and my T1D. 💉 For anyone that is newly diagnosed, you’ve got this.
