I had 5 of these lined up connected via siphon, then an old pool pump. It ran our backyard sprinkler system. People wondered how we kept green grass during California drought :)

I prefer an open top with a lid so the watering can is filled by dipping it under the water, much quicker

Set up the same system. He didn’t explain that if the barrel fills up the water would fill the tube and start to flow back down the downspout. To do that diverter can’t be too high.
