I love that you mentioned the room upgrade at check in! Most people don't know that secret. I do this all the time and always end up in a Suite at the same price that I booked a standard room.

I liked cap Juluca a lot. French doors that open right up to the beach. Climbing down the rope to little bay. Feeding the stray dogs. Excellent trip.
