There should be cell phone pockets in the classroom so they can still grab their phones, you obviously won’t be the last one she will say love you she would be telling her friends cuz she doesn’t have

I will say we don’t go to a “safe place” we block the door and hide in the back of the class..this is just a personal experience. Also there is only one phone in the class..texting is quiet-

1. After a while phone or not the kids will know it’s not a practice drill 2. The bleep already knows there’s Kids in the classroom

At our school, they let them have them in their pockets or their purse so they’re really close to them so my daughter can call me at any time or text on her Apple Watch
