it seems to be different in Seoul in each neighbourhood. In a lot of places, you flush the toilet paper. There are even signs in public restrooms that you should flush the toilet paper inside.

In Greece we also don't flush the tp. The pipe system is old and will clog. We have a trash can, with a pl.bag which we dispose of often. The trash can is cleaned daily. Some houses have bidets too.

Y ppl use toilet paper to wipe their poop? That's disgusting. Use bidet or water. Every toilet bowl now has the auto water splash right to clean ur private part. Use that.

Many places here in Costa Rica too. The pipe systems were not built for toilet paper. And bidets? Not even 3% of the country can afford it. Be kind and keep learning 💕

I think it’s usually in buildings with not so good plumbing and public spaces😅. My bf stayed with me and still flushed his TP after I told him not to. Flooded my Airbnb bathroom😭

Isn't the toilet paper in trash can like a normal thing tho? Like I never questioned when I saw signs in toilets in my country that said this (tbh I also find it gross and throw it in the toilet)

I grew up like that. My granny would always tell me not to flush the toilet paper down the commode because my grandparents lived in an old leaning house, and if I did that, it would clog the pipes.

This is the norm in Peru, too. I stayed for a month for an academic program a couple years back and it was a definite culture shock for everyone that first week! But you get used to it pretty quick.

a lot of countries do that cause the water pressure is pretty bad along with the plumbing. So they say no tp in the toilet, it took me a while to get used to it as well. I'm not a fan but will respect
