Who used to rave at Bagleys … What a venue! I was very fortunate throughout the whole of 1993 to play here many times for Labrynth. I believe labrynth were one of the 1st hardcore rave promoters in Bagleys at the time. Bagley’s had been going for many years. But when it become a multi arena space. It was perfect for all the splits Hardcore, Jungle and House were taking. It was a match made in heaven for Labrynth’s history and future in dance music. Also for context on Labrynths pull. They did 2 events in the month of December during 1993 at Bagleys as well as doing every Friday and Saturday at 4 Aces. I talk on Labrynth’s influence a lot. In that month alone in 1993 Labrynth would have pulled up to 10 000 people across Bagleys and 4 Aces. Also by this point Labrynth had been promoting raves for 5 years solid, and I was in my 3rd year DJing every weekend for them and had only just turned 18. I was very fortunate over the coming years after 1993 to play for many promoters at the Venue. Freedom, Raindance, Smile, Slammin Vinyl, Double Dipped to name just a few. In these pictures, there’s shots of me DJing as well as being on the dancefloor. Also pictures with Carl Cox and Adrian Age on the stage in the main arena, and a look at the venue over the years. Of interest if you’re an Old Skool fan. Check the double dipped flyer from 95. In which I did a PA on the main stage. Then an Old Skool set in arena 2 … Yep Old Skool in 95, we continually wanted to keep the spirit alive with both new and old rave music! Bagleys is close to Sonya and I as she lost her purse at the venue during a Labrynth event in 93. Labrynth put a message in Rave Scene magazine saying they had found the purse and to come and collect it at 4 Aces. The night she come to collect the purse 31 years ago, is the night I 1st met her, asked her her name, and she told me to F off.
