I detest this narrative and hope others agree. I think about friends and family regularly, including many who I'm sure have long since forgotten about me. But I don't really communicate with them.

Haven’t seen my dad in almost 10yrs because we moved to another country. Didn’t miss him and then I saw him and bawled like a baby.

I disagree with this. I have adhd/autism and I miss people I had in my life. or when I'm not with someone I like...maybe it's part of the hyper fixation but I miss people and breakups are not easier

when I was kid I would force my self to cry if someone died bc I didn't feel anything I do lov them but it's just can't feel anything I always knew that there is something wrong with me now I know why

When I stop to think about those people I miss them. But otherwise I kind of zone out and go about my day. I call my parents and MIL pretty often, and I am intentional about talking to my BFF.
