@nellthegoldenretriever: Puppy blues are SO real🐶🥺 Your feelings are so valid, it’s okay to feel the way that you feel and it will pass! 👇🏼Some things I found that helped me👇🏼 - Reach out to family and friends to see if they can help out. One of my best friends came over on numerous occasions and would play with/look after Nellie to give me a break. - Take time for yourself. When your puppy is sleeping, get out of the house and have some me time. Nellie was crate trained so we knew she was safe at home and not able to hurt herself or cause damage to the house. - Focus on training. It’s so rewarding to see their little brains working and to see them getting better and actively learning the things you’re teaching them. - Get a schedule in place for their food, sleep, walks etc. - Remember your puppy is still a baby and they’re still learning. They’re not purposely biting you (they’re teething so have sore gums) and they aren’t always going to understand what you’re trying to teach them. - Be patient, perseverance, practice lots and try to stay positive. - Keep going and remember to take the little wins. #fyp #foryou #puppyblues #goldenretriever #goldensoftiktok #goldenretrieverpuppy #puppy #nelliethegolden

Totally agree. Mine lasted about 4 weeks, I even got to the point where I wanted to give him back. Once we found our routine and my relationship built with him everything changed.

I cried for the first two weeks & had bad anxiety especially since im solo. Got a lot better when we got in a routine. I was prepared physically but not emotionally for the big shift in responsibility

We are not starting week two with our 14 week German shepherd husky and she’s definitely a handful. We cried alot during the weekend but keep telling ourselves it will get better. Any tips on bitting?

I don’t know if it’s because I got my puppy when she was a bit older (14 weeks), but I definitely didn’t feel the puppy blues. Baby blues on the other hand- I had that with my newborns 😂

I always heard puppy blues but I didn't think it would happen to me - IT DID. Lots of tears and almost regret. Our puppy is 4 months now and I love him to death. He's a lot of work but it GETS BETTER

I haven’t felt anything but joy having my pup but I work from home and am almost 50. I’ve found all stress I felt from work vanished because all I could do was think about what my pup needs. 🐕🦺😍
