During our last Reno we had to move both gas and electricity metres and it coast almost £3k. It’s a tricky thing to arrange so get a builder who will deal with the utilities for you 🤣

I have worked in energy for years. unfortunately you need to follow the correct process and pay the DNO to move the meter. There’s no other way of doing this independently. It is expensive to do xx

Not sure if this applies to u as location of meter etc, but my daughters meter was in her outhouse and recently was moved due to new regulations about meters being outside properties,gas ppl paid 4 it

Don’t get the meter moved, take the door off the outhouse and knock the wall through opposite where the door was, connect the wall way side and put a door on the other side, less bricks needed to cover gaps by using the door for one side and you don’t have to move your meter 🤷♀️doors in the corner close to your house and you can still have plenty of space to store things in what was your outhouse

You have to have the meter moved by the gas supplier. Yes they’re the only mansion. Why not put the door in window opening
