It makes a difference. I use it in rice sometimes and it definitely makes a difference. Same in soups

Easy to test. Let one simmer in water for an hour and then taste it like a tea to figure out how strong the flavor is

I read a bunch of the comments, bc to me, I just can't tell the difference? Maybe just my pallet? IDK? But I like the fact that everyone has had great input from both sides. Gonna try more and see.

i made rice with and without a bay leaf and can NOT tell the difference. it does nothing on a small scale. gott put like 40 leaves in

The best way I’ve found to understand it is to add a few when you make plain white rice. Very different!
