The artistic portion especially in floor routine is barely existent now. It’s similar to men’s routine (minus the awkward hop or step to the corners make gymnasts do).

I am not body shaming at all, but after seeing then vs now...it seems the athletes were far leaner as well, nit just the powerhouses of today.

This kind of discourse is crazy as it blames the gymnasts instead of the cop which places less value on execution/artistry vs difficulty nowadays. But college gymnastics is where artistry is now.
