@mamaluvena: Mental health question here: what did you do in regards to treatment after you were diagnosed with PTSD? #MentalHealth #mentalhealthtiktok #ptsdsurvivor #ptsdawareness #dvsurvivor💜 #csa #csaawareness #csasurvivor #itendswithus #storytime #marinecorps #traumahealing #traumatized #traumatok
I'm on prazosin ( maybe spelling that wrong ) it helps me sleep. kinda. I have terrible nightmares literally anytime I sleep. But this medicine helps them feel less strong, and I'm starting to forget my dreams after I wake up.

Cody (Reddit goblin) :
I was hospitalized three times until we found medication that “helped” enough to keep me somewhat alive. It’s been 2 1/2 years since the event and I am only now starting to actually recover.

I suggest watching Heidi priebe’s YouTube videos, the material touches on ptsd but there are so many more useful information in them 🫶🏼

I’m a trauma therapist and cognitive processing therapy is life changing with my patients 🙏🏼 there are a lot of other evidence based treatments like PE and EMDR.

I would go to an external trauma focused therapist - EMDR is good but recommended after you’re experienced with therapy and have coping skills - it can be really hard if you go straight into EMDR.

I have cPTSD and I use a combination of therapy (make sure it's a trauma informed therapist who also can do EMDR), medication, and a medical cannabis card. But I still suffer every day

A combination of somatic trauma resolution, EMDR, and Brainspotting. Life changing. I now do this work with clients. I'd be happy to offer you a free session to try these modalities. 1/2

I did EMDR for a little. Helped tremendously. I ended up Microdosing after stopping lexapro and trazodone from sever depressive episodes/anxiety/ptsd. I’m now 4 years off everything.
