I think if you can prove you can & have paid your rent without fail for three years you should be allowed to apply for a mortgage without a deposit x

Already emptied my 3 properties and put them on the market. I’m going to invest the money another way with no headaches 🤷‍♂️

I believe these additional regulation/rules will stop new potential landlords buying property to let, as an existing landlord of many years, I've decided to sell up and invest into other businesses

landlords should be able to evict after 1 month of unpaid rent. It’s so unfair to increase the amount of months a tenant can go skipping rent.

I think they should stop checking peoples credit to rent an apartment because everyone has to live. Some people don’t have good credit and sometimes they don’t know people circumstances.

In a fair society the government should ban buying a second or third homes so it discourages buy to rent landlords as renting keeps a family in perpetual vicious cycle of poverty.

I've selling all my houses, and a lot of landlords will be doing this. which will mean less homes to rent

We need rent control and regular housing inspections NOT held by a representative of the landlord but an objective 3rd party. Too many people are living with mold

3 months rent arrears plus 1 months’ notice to evict is insane. Factor in time for court hearings could mean no rent for up to a year! 😳😳😳

I'm not a landlord, but I think the problem is their mortgages going up, hence them putting up the rent... The economy is the problem, not landlords (mostly).

The thing that I don’t understand is how they can raise your rent, but none of the amenities work, and they are not assessable fully to us without permission, and the grounds are not kept up

I'm a (very small scale) landlord and I'm all for these rules. they don't make a difference to me and shouldn't to any decent landlords, but they provide tenants with more peace of mind.

landlords will sell up, corporations will buy up houses for good prices with a flooded market, then they will control majority of rental market and control the prices.

The worst thing is the Section 24. 40% of Rental Income is to be paid to HMRC if your a Landlord with less than 6 properties.
