I bet the procedure in the manual says drop the sway bar. It’s only 4 bolts. There’s worse examples of this

it's not that the engineers hate mechanics, its that other mechanics are incompetent and put the bolt in from the wrong side

it's 4 bolts and the sway bar drops down. If you're removing that lower control arm you will have had the sway disconnected already

Yes, it could be simple but also, it's only one bracket to be moved. Nothing major with the bracket.

i had to do a simple oil change on a Jeep Compad 2.0TD 4x4 and the oil filter casing was behind the wheel housing. also it was right above the front wheel shaft and the front axle carrier (1/2)
