If I'd done these from the start, I'd have been where I am now a decade sooner. Not because I got smarter. Because I stopped wasting time on what didn't matter. 1. I'd learn to read direction before I learned anything else. Not entries, not indicators, not setups. Where the market is actually trying to go. Everything else is worthless if you're pointed the wrong way, and I spent years finding that out the expensive way. 2. I'd treat the first two years as tuition, not income. The pressure to make money in year one warped every decision I made. If I'd accepted from day one that I was paying to learn, I'd have learned faster and lost less. 3. I'd master one component at a time. Direction, then entries, then exits, then risk. In order. I tried to learn all of it at once and ended up mediocre at everything instead of good at one thing. 4. I'd write my rules so there's no room to interpret them. If a rule can be read two ways depending on my mood, I'll read it two ways. Binary rules, or they're not rules. 5. I'd test everything with no money on the line first. Watching my rules play out in real time, live, while the market was actually moving, taught me more than any early live account did. And it cost nothing. 6. I'd keep my job far longer than felt comfortable. Quitting to make a small account big is the slowest path there is. Every paycheck is another deposit, and the pressure to replace an income is what ruins the trading. 7. I'd trade the smallest size possible for the first year. I sized up the moment I felt confident, which was always too soon. Confidence should follow proof, not lead it. 8. I'd stop trying to fix my psychology and fix my process instead. The anxiety wasn't a mindset problem. It was the natural response to not knowing what I was doing at the chart. 9. I'd find one person who'd already done it and learn only from them. Not ten YouTube channels contradicting each other. One person, further down the road, who'll tell me what to skip. 10. I'd accept it's a ten year game on day one. I expected results in twelve months and spent years disappointed in a timeline I invented. Knowing the real one would have saved me most of the pain. Comment FIX and I'll send you the process that has transformed thousands of traders. Free. #tradepsychology #tradingcoach #mentaltrading #tradermindset #tradingpsychology
