@billessayli: Democrats in Sacramento like to talk about defending democracy but they quickly shut down voices and views they disagree with. On the last night of session this year, my microphone was repeatedly cut off and finally the Speaker pro Tem stopped recognizing me altogether—silencing the nearly 500,000 constituents I represent. This is not democracy, this is not our constitutional republic, this is tyranny.
