Put a PPE bypass on my 23 Silverado 1500 3.0, went from 200 to around 140-150 on 90 degree Illinois summer day. Comments to dealer and 200 is normal. Too high, My old 4L80 was like where I am now.

I bought the Thermo bypass valve for the 6L 80. It says 2014 and up and I have a 2013 6L 80 that won’t work on mine? Is the next step to get a bigger auxiliary cooler I already have the auxiliary.

I have a 18 Silverado and even with bypass some days I see 220’ could that be needing a cooler? Or trans is close to a rebuild?

I have an 18 GMC with the 8L90. It has 118k miles and the trans has never been serviced. Still shifts fine, but was wondering if I should get it serviced or just leave it alone?

my 22 2500hd think 6l95 if not mistaken took a year too cool down with 157 thermostatic first year plowing it could hit 240ish now only 220max any thoughts on this was 17k miles before it calmed down

so I have a bypass and a external morimoto trans cooler still getting temps about 210, how hot is to hot on the 6l80?

I have a 4.3 and 6L80 deleted bypass, through the radiator and then a $400 aftermarket cooler. My transmission runs 50-65 degrees above ambient temperature. 480k miles on truck, about 315k on this 1

The oil temp is going to be cooler through the cooler.Is the temp measured from oil or the case?Engineers told us, takes 16miles 35-45 mph from start for drivetrain to reach temps.😉

Mine stays at 155 seriously. 2014 GMC sierra 1500 5.3 6l80. It will go down to 140 depending on outside temp. With updated bypass valve through radiator. 165,000 miles
