I mean you could pull off this with AE too - plus there are some pretty green screen plugins. Just depends if you want to do other compositing stuff in a node editor in general

An easier and faster trick is just to use two key effects layered on top of each other, and it often looks a bit better. Results will be worse but it works fine for most people.
