My regional is pretty much 9 weeks on the dot. Very reasonable and comprehensive training!

3-9 weeks for a new plane type rating. Years of flying and thousands of hours of experience to get hired at the airline. People think our first time flying ever is when the airline hires us.

Still blows my mind the airline industry completely ignores the power behind practicing on MSFS/xplane. The training time could be significantly cut down if pilots had the ability of practice at home
