@lagomfarm: Fall Colors 🍁. Out of all the Silkie colors I am breeding, the Partridge Silkies have been the most difficult for me to start. Partridge Silkie genetics are truly fascinating. Breeding Silkies for appropriate type and color towards SOP (Standard of Perfection) can be very - well let’s just sum up the list by saying- challenging 😄. Partridge comes in many shades and colors! According to the standard there are rules on how they should look. However, they frequently do not grow up to look that way. “The hen is too dark” “The rooster is too light!” I’m here to tell you that I have embraced all of the color variations of a Partridge Silkie 😂.
