Waited too long. He was within distance of bodily harm. Should have stopped him before he advanced. Police officers need better training in de-escalation techniques.

It’s easy to back seat quarterback. Cops get scrutiny for shooting and they get scrutiny for not. They tried de-escalation, they tried taser, and were patient before shooting. Cops hesitate because of back lash, and investigation. If everyone thinks they can do it better, than go be a cop and let me know how it works out for you.
