Canadian here. My dad had an 95, 02, and 04 diesel trucks with glow plugs and he NEVER plugged them in unless it was -30 or colder 😆😆

dude, ita the middle of tgw symmer. you dont need that desiel plugged in until november minimum. i had a diesel jetta FOR years and it always started cold. i live in Canada

When plugged in you heat up your block heater. Not your glow plugs. And you don’t need to use your block heater until it reaches below freezing temps at least.

If you need a block heater in the summer, that means your glo plugs are not working. You turn the key, wait for the light to go out.
