@theeowlqueen: Owl pellet competition🦉🏆✨ Do you know what an owl pellet is? It is all the undigestible bits that the owl must cast as a pellet via it’s mouth. Just think of it like a cat hairball with bones, fur and teeth! When an owl swallows its prey whole, it’s body cannot digest everything so their stomach compacts the remnants into a pellet which the owl has to expel through its mouth. Because of the bones, and there’s no way it could travel through its intestines because it could perforate them. Owls do go to the bathroom from the other end from their cloaca and it’s known as white wash. Hi my name is Heather.
