a deep cycle battery is better but more expensive. I also run the 0.7J fencer from TSC and it seems to have plenty of juice for my horses and pigs. I don't want to get hit by 1 with more juice!

Nick i love your videos and your information is always helpful. Only thing i would add is flag it off for a couple weeks. When natural wildlife come through and tear it down accidentally it sucks.

I just built one. Used a 100w panel, hiune charge controller, a small old motorcycle battery and a cyclops champ! Works like a champ. I put it all in a waterproof box and I can move it anywhere I want

For my pigs I just use a .6 joule Premier1 solar charger and get 8-10k volts and it's super easy to move. Moving animals and keeping them happy and occupied is the best way to contain them.
