JR pass only worth if you’re traveling to different areas basically every day or staying for like a month. They increased the cost by 70% recently so it’s not really worth anymore.

just a random tip for the suica with apple wallet, it might not work to top-up during 2-4am japan time. Seemed like that was the case with a recent trip, or was coincidental
