Brocade? It’s still around. The more amazing thing they do is Pineapple cloth! It’s almost translucent, there is a famous dress made of this that then has gold brocade on it. 🖤 I’m not sure if pinapple fabric is still created anymore.

I think a lot about Dhaka cotton. The variety of cotton went extinct AND we lost the technological ability to make the thread and weave the cloth.
