They do dissolve. Just not as fast as people think. So if you’re getting regular ‘top ups’, you’re just pushing more filler in and around your face, hence ‘pillow face’

Go get your fillers if you want them …but! Don’t get them every year or every two years! Just wait in between. Everyone is different. You still have filler there even after a year or two

Plastic surg resident here! Fillers can expand over time since they attract water. They usually dissolve, but if they last longer or swell , follow up with your doc hyaluronidase can help dissolve it!

They DO dissolve. Just not completely. The problem starts when inappropriate fillers are injected into inappropriate areas and it's done too often.

Nurse here, and also yes they do dissolve over time but very very slowly and the reason why it looks a bit expanded is due to the enzymes it breaks the filler apart, along with that creates this space

I got lip fillers once 3 years ago and they never fully went back to their original size. doctors are scamming you when they tell you you have to get them refilled every six months

I think it does dissolve with body enzymes as they say but not as quickly as they make you believe. Those who get excessive amounts of filler end up w/ pillow face due to the fact it has broken -
